Welcome to Aspire! Afterschool

We’re excited to welcome Aspire! Afterschool to the community of organizations using the AmeriCorps Impact Suite to help young people fulfill their potential through afterschool and summer learning programs. Arlington, Virginia-based Aspire! serves young people in grades 3-5, transitional years in preparation for middle school, when students must strengthen their literacy skills or be left behind. Aspire! will be using the Impact Suite with its flagship Learning ROCKS! Program, supporting upper-elementary students’ general academic achievement and social-emotional development.  The program places an especially heavy emphasis on helping students to develop both their reading skills and a love of reading. New York City Expands its use of the Impact Suites

NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor, launched in April 2009 in response to President Barack Obama’s national call for volunteerism and a goal of engaging 100 million Americans in service by 2020. New York City was the first “City of Service” and since NYC Service launched five six years ago, over 200 U.S. cities have joined the Cities of Service network. Register for this Season’s Action Hours!

Since 2008, we’ve been leading web-based Action Hours to help leaders of social impact efforts make concrete advances in their operations.  More than a webinar, each Action Hour creates a safe place for leaders to assess and strengthen a core component of their internal systems, processes, or practices. This season’s Action Hours will cover two topics: 1) Making sure your organization invests in the absolute best technologies; and 2) Making sure your operations around training, supporting, monitoring, and communicating with your people on the ground (volunteers, AmeriCorps members, etc.) are spot-on. As the sessions are highly interactive, we restrict each Action Hour to just a handful of participants.  Register today. Huge thanks…

Inc. Highlights our Annual Hibernation Practice

Here at America Learns, we often look to nature for innovative ideas on how to best serve our clients. Intentionally pausing every year has had a number of benefits for us and our clients on both business and personal levels.  And while pausing sales efforts for two months doesn’t…
