As the 12th-largest human services charity in the United States, Christian Appalachian Project served over 36,000 eastern Kentuckians during its most recent fiscal year.  In addition, CAP’s gift in kind program called Operation Sharing, provided assistance in all thirteen Appalachian states, reaching over 1 million people. Following its faith-based principles, CAP is helped by donors, volunteers, staff and the community to provide a variety of programs that have proven successful in helping people help themselves. Welcome to the Greater Chicago Food Depository!

The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Cook County’s local food bank. Working with a network of more than 700 partner agencies and programs including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters, the organization distributes 160,000 meals every day, striving to end hunger in its community. The organization has led an AmeriCorps program since 2009.  Members have assisted benefits outreach efforts, coordinated food pantry operations, and supported programs that aim to alleviate hunger among older adults, children, and veterans. Welcome to Northwestern Settlement’s AmeriCorps Project YES!

Founded in 1891, Northwestern Settlement has nurtured, educated, and inspired children and families in need in Chicago.  Focusing on changing lives through education, social services, and the arts, Northwestern Settlement’s programs are fully integrated to meet the complex needs of our neighbors. Project YES!, the agency’s national service program, connects caring adults with youth in and around West Town.  The program’s AmeriCorps Members serve the community through mentorship, educational, service, artistic, and recreational activities.  The goal of the program is to support students’ academic achievements, provide alternatives to destructive behaviors, and foster an ethic of service in the entire community….

Welcome to The Knoxville–Knox County Community Action Committee!

We’re so excited to begin serving the Knoxville–Knox County Community Action Committee!  Based in Tennessee, the organization delivers efficient services to help people achieve self-sufficiency and independent living. The organization’s national service programs, CAC AmeriCorps and CAC AmeriCorps VISTA, improve public lands, streams and greenways, provide core services during disaster response efforts, and build volunteer capacity in the region’s nonprofits.  CAC AmeriCorps has existed since AmeriCorps’ pilot days in the mid-1990s.  The program is Tennessee’s longest-running environmental service corps. CAC AmeriCorps is the latest member of The Corps Network to invest in the AmeriCorps Impact Suite.

Welcome to Homeless & Housing Coalition of Kentucky!

We’re so excited for the opportunity to begin working with Homeless & Housing Coalition of Kentucky’s AmeriCorps State and AmeriCorps VISTA programs! The State*National program, Homes for All, is the only housing and homelessness AmeriCorps program in Kentucky and has actually been around since AmeriCorps’ pilot days in the mid-1990s.  The program expands affordable housing opportunities for homeless and economically disadvantaged Kentuckians.  AmeriCorps members serve at housing nonprofits around the state, providing housing placement, housing services, case management services, and building, renovating, and weatherizing affordable housing. Welcome to Montana Campus Compact!

We’re grateful that Montana Campus Compact recently adopted the AmeriCorps Impact Suite to bring significant efficiencies to its member management and timesheet administration efforts. Montana Campus Compact’s AmeriCorps Program supports college access and success work across Montana by deploying college student AmeriCorps members to provide coaching and support to first generation and low income K-12 students and families.  AmeriCorps members serving with the program provide a variety of direct service activities, supporting youth-focused programming, college application nights, FAFSA applications, and norming the idea of college going. Welcome to Big Brothers Big Sisters of St Lucie, Indian River, & Okeechobee Counties!

It’s so exciting to welcome Big Brothers Big Sisters of St Lucie, Indian River & Okeechobee Counties to the community of mentoring organizations using an Impact Suite! Based in Florida, this BBBS affiliate will be using the AmeriCorps Impact Suite with its AmeriCorps Reads program.  The program’s goal is to help St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee County children become proficient readers by the end of 3rd grade, giving those children a better start to their futures.  The program’s AmeriCorps members work one-on-one with students as tutors. Welcome to the Solano County Library!

We’re thrilled to welcome the Solano Country Library Adult Literacy and ESL Programs to the community of California Library Literacy programs using the Impact Suite! More than 150 adult literacy tutors and 50 other volunteers will be using the Impact Suite to report their impact, share and learn best practices, and keep their contact and other key information current.  Program staff will be using the Impact Suite to gain a more complete view of operations, reduce time on administrative tasks, and spend far more time using relevant information to support volunteers and drive impact.

Welcome to New England Science & Sailing!

We’re so excited to begin working with another Connecticut-based AmeriCorps program: The New England Science & Sailing Foundation! The NESS SEA (STEM Education Ambassador) AmeriCorps program uses national service to engage students in STEM-based ocean adventure learning. Each year, NESS SEA AmeriCorps members serve alongside New London Public School (NLPS) teachers to provide students with additional support, mentoring, and tutoring during the academic school day.  AmeriCorps members also design and implement STEM-based, extended learning afterschool and summer programs to NLPS students and other New London community organizations utilizing marine science, adventure sports and sailing as the educational platform.

Welcome to the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service!

We’re thrilled to welcome the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service to the America Learns community. We’ve served individual nonprofits and government entities across Kentucky for a number of years.  After taking note of our track record in its state, the Commission has decided to partner with us to more easily collect and use data to monitor and support the performance of its AmeriCorps portfolio.
