How Network Members Would Market the Network.

Qualitative Data

In May 2006, we asked a number of America Learns Network members to brainstorm with us on how we could advertise our services at the annual Points of Light Foundation conference.  Following are the themes and quotes the Network members encouraged us to use.

While these aren't formal testimonials, they offer a deep perspective into how program administrators feel about the Network.

It’s a great day when you know who is doing what, when, and how well.  America Learns makes every day a great day.

Want to work faster, smarter, and get more money (or funding)?  America Learns will help you do all three.

Got data?  (have a picture of a person with a milk moustache with stats on it)  America Learns will help you get it.

Ever felt like you are doing great things but nobody notices?  America Learns will help you get noticed.

Tutors need tutoring too!  America Learns will be your tutor’s best teacher (or friend).

Life is too short to handle all that paperwork.  America Learns will help you get rid of it.  (have a picture of a shredder and a big pile of paper)

Evaluation data—gotta have it!  America Learns makes it easy to get.

It’s tough when you are here and they are there.  America Learns helps you shorten the distance. (have a picture of a program manager stuck in her office and the program's AmeriCorps members or tutors tutoring in the schools!)

“I can 'see' for miles and miles and miles….”  America Learns puts everything in perspective. (play the song by The Who over and over again)

Give out small packages of life savers.  Have pictures of ducks in a row.  “The right data can be a life saver.  America Learns helps you get all your data ducks in a row.”
