about    how we're different    awards & recognition    team

Gary Kosman, our Founder & CEO, on the origins of our organization.  This video is from the 2010 Friends For Youth Conference.

The Basics
We create powerful, flexible tools that maximize the impact of education, human services, and social justice efforts.

Our tools focus on:

  • Performance management;

  • Evaluation;

  • Reporting;

  • Complying with complex regulations; and

  • Providing personalized professional development and support to your people on the ground.

Organizations operating across 37 states, Africa, and South America currently use our services.  We believe that with strong leadership, a commitment to acknowledging the realities at hand, and the right tools, even the smallest of organizations can make huge, positive, long-term impacts.

Where We Started
After being seed funded by Echoing Green in 2003, we began working with volunteer-driven tutoring and mentoring organizations.  We offered those organizations better ways to provide ongoing training and support to their volunteers, to collect, review and act on data for the current cohort of students being served, to report progress, write grants, and much more.

Where We Are Today

As we've continued to serve youth development-focused organizations worldwide, we've also expanded our work to serve nonprofits, AmeriCorps programs, government agencies, school districts, and foundations across a variety of issue areas

On any given day, our customers are helping thousands of children and adults become strong readers; facilitating the development of strong bonds between youth and their adult mentors; improving the quality of sports coaching in parks across America; improving the quality of food in school cafeterias; helping young women around the world become effective community activists; improving the quality of service-learning in universities; helping fire stations maintain an effective, on-demand volunteer force; improving the quality of mentoring efforts in medical schools; bolstering economic development efforts in Southern California; and much more.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

"
Not only have we been able to grow our program and serve more girls, but also increase the quality of support we give our volunteers, increase staff productivity, and streamline our evaluation process."
